Ich bin mit einigen Sumfleths_Somfleths verwandt, die in die USA ausgewandert sind, und ich versuche, Aufzeichnungen in Deutschland zu recherchieren. Es fällt mir schwer. Könnten Sie mir helfen?

I have been looking for a long time.
My father actually has the Alien registration booklet of John’s brother Henry Sumfleth with a photo that he had found at the old family farm.  See attached.
Henry & his brother John farmed the land in White Cloud, MI, USA – our old family farm.
There is a Peter Somfleth (Henry & John’s uncle) that first came over to the USA and bought the land originally, farmed it and made it his homestead.
Peter was single and died in 1906 of stomach cancer and willed the land over to his 2 nephews Henry & Dietrich (Diedrich) Sumfleth.  Henry & Dietrich came over from Germany in 1906 to claim the land.
From what I can find in land deeds, it looks like Dietrich sold his part of the land to Henry and went back to Germany.  Henry stayed and farmed the land.
Henry’s brother John married Anna Bittner in Brooklyn, NY in 1900.  They had 1 child (Mary) born in 1897.  And a 2nd child (Martha) born in 1901.
In Dec 1901 John’s wife Anna died of Tuberculosis of Lung at age 25.  Then in Jun 1902, their 2nd child, Martha died.
So John & his daughter Mary traveled to White Cloud, MI to be with his brother Henry.  John bought some land from Henry and acquired more land.
They farmed the land and raised Mary on that land.
Henry Sumfleth (my great great uncle)
John Sumfleth (my great great grandfather)
Mary Sumfleth grew up and later met Charles Beckmann and they married.  (My great grandparents)
Charles & Mary had 2 children (Lorrayne & Carlton Beckman).
Lorrayne married Robert Garth Dickinson Sr (My grandparents)
They had 3 children (Robert, Carl, and Gayle)
Robert married Dorothy Hall  (My parents)
They had 3 children (Robert, John, Heather (me))
Dec 1947 – Henry Sumfleth died at the age of 72 of heart disease
Mar 1953 – Mary Sumfleth died at the age of 55 of heart disease
Apr 1954 – John Sumfleth died at the age of 84 from pneumonia
And I haven’t been able to make the connection between Peter and Henry/John yet other than Peter is their uncle.
Peter’s will does mention his sister „Maria Hilke“, but I havn’t been able to link her with John or Henry either.
I think I have found another brother Herman H Sumfleth (1877 – 1962) that settled in New Jersey.
Herman’s obituary from 1962 that he is survived by a sister in Germany.
John – 1872-1954
Henry – 1875-1947
Herman – 1877-1962
Maria – ???-???

Ergänzungen von Sabine:

Bei Ancestry ist ein Stammbaum aus USA von Heather Adams.
Da steht, daß
Hinrich Sumfleth in Mittelnkirchen geboren sein soll.
oo
Anna Catharina Margrethe Junge
* 26.09.1842 Hechthausen
Kind 1 Diedrich Sumfelth * 1870 Appeln = Oppeln Onkel ist Peter Sumfleth lt. Passagierliste
Dann haben sie vor 1870 geheiratet und Hinrich Sumfleth ist so vor 1850 in Mittelnkirchen geboren.

Die Recherche in Mittelnkirchen bei ARCHION dauert noch.
